If you’ve been studying for the SSCP exam, you may be looking for a good source of SSCP practice test questions. You’ll find that the SSCP Systems Security Certified Practitioner All-in-One Exam Guide covers the content in the exam but I’m hearing that test questions from the studISCope test banks are the most helpful.
(ISC)2 changes the questions in their live test bank regularly and they also update their practice test questions in the studISCope banks. Here’s a link: https://www.expresscertifications.com/ISC2/Catalog.aspx.
The SSCP is a good next step for many people that have taken and passed the Security+ exam. It will give you a good idea of what to expect from the premier security certification – CISSP – if you choose to take it. Also, many people have the experience to meet the requirements for SSCP, but not CISSP. As a reminder, the requirements are:
- For the SSCP, you need one year of experience in one the seven (ISC)2 domains.
- For the CISSP, you need five years of experience on one of the ten domains.
Good luck.
I have experience in PKI(Certificate Authority). Can I apply for the exam with this domain experience. If yes, in the SSCP exam will the question be based on the domain which I worked, or it is mixture of all the security questions. can you suggest with links or materials which I can refer for the exam? Kindly email me to the provided email address with all kinds off suggestions that can be given for the exam preparation.

Here’s a cut and paste from this page.
For the SSCP, you need one year of experience in one the seven (ISC)2 domains.
Ask yourself: “Do I have one year of experience in one the seven (ISC)2 domains?”
Your exam is not based on your experience.
This study guide is a good study source.

Hi Darril,
Thanks for the information… Can i take SSCP exam as my first exam without any prior experience? i Do have Server + cert tho.
Yes, you can take the SSCP exam without any experience. However, there are some prerequisites to getting the certification: Here’s a cut and paste from this page: https://blogs.getcertifiedgetahead.com/systems-security-certified-practitioner-sscp-2/
“Candidates must have at least one year of direct full-time security work experience in one or more of these seven domains. After passing the exam, you’ll be required to submit a resume documenting this experience. Additionally, your application must be endorsed by someone that holds a certification with (ISC)2 and can attest to the accuracy of your resume. If you don’t know someone with a certification, you can still turn in your application, but it will take longer to complete the endorsement process.”
