Sir; I am required to have Comp TIA + for position. I have very little experience but, I have been told by coworkers you are the guy to go to in order to pass. I have done other certs previously but, would you have any tips for a person in my situation ? Thank you in advance..
Hi Dony. I’d suggest getting one or two books that cover the objectives and reading them. I’m biased, but I recommend this one: CompTIA A+ Training Kit (Exam 220-801 and Exam 220-802). A benefit of two books is that you get the perspective from two authors so if you don’t fully understand something in one book, the other book might help you understand it better. Finish this using some quality practice test questions that have explanations so that you understand why the correct answers are correct, and why the incorrect answers are incorrect.

Good luck.
Just took and passed the Security Plus test. 75 questions. The first 6 questions were simulations. I thought they would never end! Used up a lot of time with them which worried me about having enough time to complete all 75. I clicked end test with 10 minutes to spare.
Congrats on the pass. I’ve been recommending to people lately to use this process with the performance questions.
1) Look at them.
2) Answer them if they are clear and you know the answer.
3) Skip them if they aren’t clear.
4) Come back to them after finishing the rest of the questions.
Good to hear you were able to finish the exam with time to spare.
Hello,
I am a Test Engineer at the Coast Guard and just ordered your book to study for the CompTIA Security + certification. I am very excited to start studying and will keep you posted on my exam results!! : )

Good luck Ashley. You probably know it but CompTIA has added new performance based questions to this exam. This page (https://blogs.getcertifiedgetahead.com/security-blog-links/) includes links to blogs about them in the Performance Based Questions section.
Hi Darril,
I would like to know if the questions on the “Practice Test Questions” book are different from the Study Guide or not.
Also, the same question on Ipad app. Are these questions same as in study guide / the Practce test question books?
Thanks in advance,
Prasad
Hi Prasad,
The questions are similar in each resource but just presented in a different formats to meet requests/desires of different people.
The study guide is the most comprehensive and includes content plus practice test questions. This book has more practice test questions than any other resource.
The paperback book of the study questions is a subset of these questions. This is useful for that used another book to study Security+ but are looking for some practice test questions to supplement their study.
The Kindle version of the study questions adds in flash cards.
The apps from Learnzapp (for iPads, iPhones, Android, and multiple other mobile platforms) are for people that want to study on the go. They include both study questions and flash cards. Many people use this in addition to other sources so that they can study just about any time that they have a few extra minutes.
If you’re asking about the Kindle application (http://amzn.to/aZZlOs), the answer is yes. The iPad and the iPad2 versions are the same.
Hello i want to know if this application is available also for Ipad2?
