If you want a day-by-day study plan to pass the Security+ exam in 30 days or less, you can use this one.

Pass the Security+ Exam in 30 Days or Less

This 30 day study plan is an extension of the Pass the Security+ Exam in 30 Days or Less blog post.

  • Day 1
    • Read the introduction.
    • Do the Assessment exam at the beginning of the book.
    • Get the code for a discounted voucher and schedule your exam for 30 days from today.
  • Days 2 through 5
    • Read at least half a chapter a day (Chapters 1 and 2)
    • After reading, review the Chapter Review topics for what you read.
    • After the review, do at least 10 of the practice test questions for the chapter.
    • After doing the practice test questions, take the time to read the explanation.
Ideally, you should know why the correct answers are correct, and why the incorrect answers are incorrect. This way no matter how CompTIA words the questions, you can answer them correctly. The explanations and chapter content should help you gain this understanding.
  • Day 6
    • Reread all the chapter reviews from chapters you’ve finished.
    • Do all of the practice test questions that you’ve finished previously.
    • Look at blog articles for any topics that interest you or you want to dig into deeper.
  • Days 7 through 10
    • Read at least half a chapter a day. (Chapters 3 and 4)
    • After reading, review the Chapter Review topics for what you read.
    • After the review, do at least 10 of the practice test questions for the chapter.
    • After doing the practice test questions, take the time to read the explanation.

Get Certified Get Ahead

  • Day 11
    • Reread all the chapter reviews from chapters you’ve finished.
    • Do all of the practice test questions that you’ve finished previously.
    • Look at blog articles for any topics that interest you or you want to dig into deeper.
  • Days 12 through 15
    • Read at least half a chapter a day. (Chapters 5 and 6)
    • After reading, review the Chapter Review topics for what you read.
    • After the review, do at least 10 of the practice test questions for the chapter.
    • After doing the practice test questions, take the time to read the explanations.
  • Day 16
    • Reread all the chapter reviews from chapters you’ve finished.
    • Do all of the practice test questions that you’ve finished previously.

  • Days 17 through 20
    • Read at least half a chapter a day. (Chapters 7 and 8)
    • After reading, review the Chapter Review topics for what you read.

  • Day 21
    • Reread all the chapter reviews from chapters you’ve finished.

  • Days 22 through 25
    • Read at least half a chapter a day. (Chapters 9 and 10)
    • After reading, review the Chapter Review topics for what you read.
